What is This

More Than
a Race.

In 2026, Brave to Love and Muskathlon are joining forces for a week-long endurance event at Roaring Sky Base Camp, South Africa. Participants from around the world will run, walk, and cycle — not just to finish a race, but to raise funds that will build a safe house for survivors of abuse and exploitation.

This is your chance to be part of something that outlasts the finish line. Every kilometre you cover. Every rand raised. Every person who hears about this initiative. It all counts.

"

An adventure that fights injustice — and builds a future for survivors.

The Muskathlon model combines endurance sport, community, and direct charitable impact. Participants raise funds that go entirely to the cause — in this case, a safe house for Brave to Love's survivors.

2026 Roaring Sky Base Camp

The Experience

A week of
three things.

01

Exposure to the Cause

You won't just hear about the work — you'll witness it. Hear from survivors. Understand the reality of what Brave to Love is fighting for. Come home forever changed.

02

Community and Purpose

Train, eat, grow, and do life alongside people from South Africa, Germany, the Netherlands, and Romania. A shared mission creates bonds that go far beyond sport.

03

The Race

The Muskathlon itself. An early start. A challenging route through the South African bush. A finish line celebrated not just as a personal milestone — but as a collective act of justice.

Brave to Love

The Cause

Building a
Safe House.

Brave to Love works with survivors of trafficking, abuse, and exploitation — people who have experienced some of the deepest injustice imaginable. Their work doesn't stop at rescue. They walk alongside survivors through rehabilitation, skills development, and economic independence — equipping each person to reintegrate safely and confidently into society.

Right now, there is a critical need for a dedicated safe house: a place of refuge, recovery, and real transformation — where survivors can begin to rebuild their lives in safety.

This Muskathlon event is the vehicle. Every participant who registers, every rand raised by their network, every social media post — all of it contributes directly to making that safe house a reality.

You may not be able to walk in someone's shoes. But you can run to change their future.

2026 Fundraising Goal

R4,500,000

Raise More, Build More

How to
fundraise.

You don't need a huge following. You just need to share something real. Here's how participants have successfully raised funds for Muskathlon events around the world.

1

Tell the Story

Share Brave to Love's mission and why you're running. People give to causes they understand — and to people they trust. Explain what the safe house means in plain, honest terms.

2

Document Your Training

Post your preparation. Your early morning runs, your tired legs, your progress. People want to follow a journey — make them part of yours and direct them to your fundraising profile.

3

Ask Directly

Don't just post and hope. Send personal messages. Ask colleagues, family, your church or community. A direct ask converts far better than a general social media post.

4

Set a Milestone Goal

Break your target into milestones and celebrate publicly when you hit them. "I'm at 50% — help me get to 75%!" creates urgency and gives people a reason to share your page.
